Latin American Memorial
The Latin American Memorial is practically right across from the Palmeiras-Barra Funda station, the first stop (or last, depending on your perspective) on Line 10-Turquesa. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the institution is one of the largest cultural complexes in Latin America, comprising seven interconnected buildings.
This space, spanning over 84,000 square meters, hosts art exhibitions, food fairs, cultural festivals, and major shows in its auditorium. That’s why it’s a must-see stop for exploring São Paulo by train.
On Saturdays, museum admission is free for everyone
Located in the former Brás Immigrant Hostel, 1.6 kilometers from the Juventus-Mooca station, the museum preserves the memory of some 3 million people from more than 70 nationalities who helped build São Paulo.
In addition to exhibitions exploring historical and contemporary migration patterns, on weekends visitors can take a steam train ride on the historic Immigrant Train.
Gamaro Theater
Another cultural attraction accessible via CPTM’s Line 10-Turquesa is the Gamaro Theater. Its modern facilities host everything from major theatrical productions to concerts and candlelit performances.
The venue’s architecture also stands out, as it makes use of the historic building of the former Alpargatas factory. The Gamaro Theater is 1.5 kilometers from Juventus-Mooca Station, very close to the aforementioned Immigration Museum.

Criança Regional Park – Estremilique the Clown (Jaçatuba Park)
Our first stop in the ABC region! About 1 kilometer from the Prefeito Celso Daniel-Santo André station, the Parque Regional da Criança is a must-visit destination for families. There, you’ll find a large green space with lakes, a walking trail, and a playground featuring a maze.
The park is also home to the Municipal School of Artistic Initiation (EMIA) and hosts a craft fair on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mauá Municipal Theater – Anselmo Haraldt Walendy
A city historic landmark since 2010, the theater is the main hub for the performing arts in Mauá. The venue hosts shows and cultural performances throughout the year, making it a major cultural attraction worth visiting in Greater São Paulo.

Shrine of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception
Inaugurated in 1928, the Nossa Senhora Imaculada Conceição Sanctuary is the oldest religious temple in the municipality of Mauá. The building stands out for its stonework and is an important historical, architectural, and spiritual landmark in the region. Plus, it’s just 800 meters from the Mauá station on Line 10-Turquesa.
Prefeito Oswaldo Dias Municipal Natural Park (formerly Guapituba Ecological Park)
Just 220 meters from the Guaraputiba station, the Mauá Municipal Natural Park is another attraction along the route of CPTM’s Line 10-Turquesa. The reserve spans over 500,000 square meters of preserved Atlantic Forest, inviting visitors to take outdoor hikes and enjoy nature.
That’s why it’s the ideal outing for anyone seeking wellness, fresh air, and wildlife viewing. The park is also home to the unique Jardim de Pedra, a historic structure built by former residents of the region.
The reserve is right across from Guapituba, a station on CPTM’s Line 10-Turquesa in Mauá.
Luiz Carlos Grecco Municipal Park
Luiz Carlos Grecco Municipal Park is also perfect for slowing down, connecting with nature, and enjoying peaceful moments with the family. It features over 36,000 square meters of natural surroundings, including a playground and the Grotto of Our Lady of Aparecida.
The site, located 1.2 kilometers from the Ribeirão Pires-Antônio Bespalec station, also houses works from the Open Museum of Contemporary Art (MAAC) and a historic mansion dating from 1945 that preserves São Paulo’s rural architectural style.
Paranapiacaba
Visiting Paranapiacaba is like taking a trip back in time without leaving the metropolitan area. Founded in the 19th century, this charming village with English-style architecture offers attractions such as the Castelinho Museum and the historic Clube União Lyra Serrano, home to Brazil’s second-oldest movie theater.
For those who enjoy ecotourism, the area also features the Nascentes de Paranapiacaba Municipal Park, which offers several trails through the Atlantic Forest. The best part is that you can visit it using public transportation.
Just take CPTM’s Line 10-Turquesa to the Rio Grande da Serra station, and then take bus 040 toward Paranapiacaba.
