KISŪ is a contemporary Japanese restaurant in Jardins. There you can sit at the counter and be personally attended to by chef Rodolfo Yusa, while sipping a glass of sake, which is served chilled in a flûte glass, like champagne. You can order omakase or à la carte dishes.

Luce is a contemporary Italian restaurant that has just revamped its menu. It also has a beautiful counter in front of the bar where you can order snacks, dishes, pizzas and drinks. A good option for a place to go alone in SP!

For us, there’s no better place to visit alone than a cultural center. The good thing is that many museums, such as the CCBB and Caixa Cultural, have free admission. Others, such as MASP and Pinacoteca, offer free admission on specific days.

Balsa is a meeting place with a rooftop and one of the best views of the Anhangabaú Valley; all this with a busy schedule and vintage decor. In other words, one of those bars you can go to alone if you want to have good drinks and admire the view of the city.

Another relaxing place to enjoy yourself are São Paulo’s coffee shops. If you’re an avid reader, we recommend Bibla, a coffee shop-bookstore where you can spend hours devouring books (and snacks!). But if you’re a fan of Studio Ghibli, you can’t miss Kiki Café which has snacks, decoration and even comics inspired by the Japanese studio.
Going to a street cinema
Finally, our tip for enjoying your own company is to go to one of São Paulo’s independent cinemas. After all, it’s always time to check out the new movies on show, isn’t it?
