We asked on our Instagram page which viewpoints our readers like best in SP. There were many answers, from classic buildings with views that we already know, to those more hidden spots in the capital.
Since we can see the city from above, how about missing one you already like or even getting to know one of São Paulo’s favorite lookouts?
Viewpoints in SP: admire the city from above
Santander Lighthouse (the eternal Banespão)
Every São Paulo resident has seen the state flag waving from the top of the Altino Arantes Building, either up close or from somewhere in the city. The coolest thing is that the top of the building has a lookout point from where you can admire the view of downtown São Paulo.

Abaru By Priceless
Located at the top of Shopping Light, the Abaru viewpoint has technological binoculars to make your experience even better.

Jaraguá Peak
Pico do Jaraguá is already a well-known landmark in the city. As well as being one of SP’s postcards, it also serves as a lookout point with a 360º view of the capital and the metropolitan region.

Sampa Sky
This famous observation deck has a stomach-churning view of the SP skyline. It is located on the 42nd floor of Mirante do Vale and is made of glass. Are you brave enough?

Martinelli Building
Due to its height, the building is a lookout point, where you can see some of the sights of São Paulo, such as the Anhangabaú Valley and the Sé Cathedral. It was the second skyscraper in Brazil and Latin America.

Terraço Itália
As well as offering a dining experience with one of the best views in the city, Terraço Itália is known for its traditional cuisine.

Copan Building
The largest condominium in Latin America also has its belvedere, one of the most iconic in São Paulo. How about seeing the view from there?

Pedra Grande
In the Serra da Cantareira State Park, you can be in the middle of the Atlantic Forest and still enjoy one of the most beautiful viewpoints in São Paulo. After all, who doesn’t enjoy nature from up there?

Sesc Avenida Paulista
Opened in 2018, the Sesc unit on Avenida Paulista has become a favorite among São Paulo residents. Entry to the building is free and visitors can explore the 17 floors of the building. The space has exhibitions, shows, courses and a library, as well as the Sesc belvedere on the top floor.

MAC-USP
The MAC has the most important collection in Latin America specializing in 20th century Western production. In addition, its terrace has an award-winning MICHELIN Guide restaurant and a viewpoint overlooking Ibirapuera Park.

Sunset Square
Finally, Praça do Pôr do Sol needs no introduction. After all, the name already indicates that, from there, we will have one of the most beautiful angles of the sun setting amidst São Paulo’s skyscrapers.
