What to expect from ‘Notre-Dame de Paris: a journey through the Cathedral’?
Notre-Dame de Paris is one of the most famous churches in the world. It was built between 1163 and 1345, making it one of the oldest Gothic churches in the world and an iconic example of medieval architecture.
In April 2019, a fire devastated the cathedral, which has been under renovation ever since. The reopening is scheduled for December this year, when the world will once again be able to contemplate this Parisian icon. However, in this new immersive experience, you can visit Notre-Dame right away!
Using a special tablet, the public will be able to see reconstructions of various periods of the cathedral – from its construction in the Middle Ages to the current work to rebuild it after the fire in 2019. In addition, the experience is multi-sensory and also features sounds to immerse the public even more in the experience, such as the real organs and bells of Notre-Dame.
‘Notre-Dame de Paris: a journey through the Cathedral’ is the work of augmented reality company Histovery in partnership with Rebuilding Notre-Dame de Paris, the official French body responsible for rebuilding the monument. This is his first time in South America, after visiting more than 10 countries and welcoming more than 400,000 visitors.
