São Paulo sandwiches that are true city heritage
Bauru
The original Bauru was invented in the famous Largo do Paiçandu bakery Ponto Chic which is why it is still the most famous version of the sandwich in São Paulo. After all, it’s not easy to copy the perfect combination of thin slices of roast beef, pickled cucumber, tomato, melted Swiss and steep cheese inside crustless French bread. In addition, according to the snack bar itself, it was created by a former customer from Bauru, hence the name.

Mortadella sandwich from Mercadão
