The municipality of Ribeirão Pires, in the ABC region of São Paulo, hides a medieval-themed residential castle that you need to see! Robson Miguel’s Castle was conceived and financed by the guitarist and master Robson Miguel. After traveling through Spain, Belgium, and England, he decided to import European architecture and use it in the construction of his own home.
Opened in 1999, the castle features stone towers and walls, as well as a wooden interior. The building attracted so much attention in the Quarta Divisão neighborhood that it became a tourist attraction, and today it serves as a cultural and educational space. Robson personally welcomes visitors, showcasing every corner inspired by Brazil —its indigenous cultures and , of course, its music!
In fact, music is the main reason the castle exists; it is the “ ” the only castle in the world dedicated to the guitar. Robson has repeatedly expressed his admiration for the instrument that has given him everything in his professional life.
Robson’s connection to the villain is immeasurable. There is even a cinerary urn shaped like the instrument, prepared to hold his ashes.
Brazilian Hogwarts: What to expect from a visit to Robson Miguel’s Castle?
It is clear that the creator let his creativity run wild when he began the project. Starting with the castle’sacoustics, designed to accentuate the musical note “G, ” there is an underground tunnel that demonstrates how it sounds inside the house.
It spans 2,056 square meters with 11 underground tunnels and 77 “hidden eyes”—holes in the walls for observing without being noticed. The highlight of the tour brings out the visitor’s most adventurous and exploratory side: there is an underground passage with dungeons, a prison, and secret passages.
And like any self-respecting castle, you can also visit the throne, a scenicdungeon, and several rooms decorated in period style. In addition to being entertaining, the site also serves educational purposes.
