The story of Chef Olivier Anquier and his restaurants in São Paulo
The chef was born in Montfermeil, in the suburbs of Paris, France. He arrived in Rio de Janeiro in 1979 as a tourist but fell in love with the country and decided to stay. Since then, he has become a naturalized Brazilian citizen and has worked as a model, television host, and chef.
He currently owns the restaurants L’Entrecôte d’Olivier in Itaim Bibi; L’Entrecôte d’Olivier Rooftop in República; and of the five Mundo Pão do Olivier locations in São Paulo.
The chef will also soon open the Arquivo Anquier, a cultural space in the República neighborhood. Scheduled to open on September 16, the center will offer free exhibitions and hold a charity auction of the TV host’s famous green Volkswagen Beetle.
