São Paulo offers a multitude of tours. We know that. But sometimes, even though we have a bit of everything in the same city, it’s good to get to know other places. Vineyard
Approximately 70 km from the center of São Paulo, Vinhedo offers much more than the Grape Festival and the Wine Festival. The city is home to two of the biggest amusement parks, Hopi Hari and Wet’n Wild.
Embu das Artes
Embu das Artes is a paradise for craft lovers because of the 800 or so exhibitors who work there. At weekends, the town receives an average of 15,000 tourists who enjoy the local craft fair. Located just 25km from the center of São Paulo, Embu das Artes has that country town atmosphere. Its streets are filled with historic and colorful houses.
Village of Paranapiacaba
The small district of Santo André transports you back in time aboard a 19th century steam engine. Paranapiacaba is close to the center of the capital and is one of those places that everyone should visit. The district emerged as an operational control center and residence for the employees of the British train company São Paulo Railway.
Juquitiba
It comes from the Tupi Guarani language and means “land of many waters”. The name of the municipality is a reference to the abundance of springs in the region. Juquitiba is part of a region rich in springs and watercourses, which makes the town popular with those who enjoy nature sports.
Holambra
Known as the city of flowers, or the Brazilian Netherlands, Holambra offers perfect family outings. In about an hour, you can reach the town, in the Campinas region, and enjoy a day getting to know all the attractions.
Guararema
The city’s proximity to São Paulo makes it a great choice for a day trip. Guararema, although small, offers options for all tastes: from natural landscapes to historic buildings.
Atibaia
If you’re a strawberry lover, don’t miss the day trip to Atibaia. Located 60km from the capital, the city is one of the main strawberry production centers, to the point of being known as the capital of the fruit. There, you can visit plantations, take part in the harvest and even visit the Strawberry Festival, which rocks the town once a year.
Boituva
Finally, another city near São Paulo that you must visit is the famous Boituva. Just 1.15 hours from the capital, the city’s main attraction is the balloon rides this is a great way to enjoy a breathtaking view of the São Paulo sky.
