Since 2021, the Padocaria competition has been electing the best bakeries in São Paulo. After all, São Paulo’s passion for good coffee and freshly baked bread is nothing new.
This year, only one of the bakeries is back on the podium and with it, new names are appearing in the ranking. So, how about checking out this year’s winners and visiting each of them?
The best bakeries in São Paulo, according to Padocaria 2024
Ceci
The big winner of the 4th edition of the contest to choose the best bakery in São Paulo was Ceci. In this way, the bakery became the three-time winner of the contest, since it has been securing the top spot on the podium since 2022. In addition, Ceci also secured the position of best in the South Zone of the capital.
Founded in 1964 in Planalto Paulista, the establishment is still true to its traditions today. After all, like a good neighborhood bakery, it offers fresh bread every morning and afternoon, displays a bountiful window display and has welcomed regulars for decades.

Arizona Breads
The best bakery in the North Zone is also the new champion of the ‘Best Bread’ category. In other words, it’s worth a visit for anyone in São Paulo who loves a loaf of bread on the griddle.
But that’s not all that earned Arizona Pães the title. After all, there, since 1983, the proposal has been to be more than just a bakery, but a meeting point for those seeking a pleasurable gastronomic experience.

Forno Fecchio
The artisan bakery Forno Fecchio is the face of São Paulo’s West Zone and for this reason it was voted the best in the region.
Here, the breads are all made with natural fermentation (sourdough/levain/sourdough) and with organic flours and no additives.

Vera Cruz
After three consecutive years in which the award for best bakery in the East Zone went to Cepam, the time has come for a new bakery to shine. But not so new, after all, the new champion has maintained the tradition of fresh bread in Tatuapé for 100 years.

Bread Gallery
A classic of São Paulo gastronomy, Galeria dos Pães was voted the best in the center. It makes sense, after all, close to Avenida Paulista you can enjoy the delicacies of the house, which is open 24 hours a day.
It’s also a traditional meeting place in São Paulo, which makes Galeria dos Pães one of the city’s most beloved bakeries.
