Since 2021, the Padocaria competition elects the best bakeries in São Paulo. After all, it’s nothing new for São Paulo residents to love a good cup of coffee and a loaf of bread on the griddle.

The best bakeries in São Paulo, according to Padocaria 2023
Ceci
The big winner of the 2nd edition of the contest to choose the best bakery in São Paulo was Ceci, located in the South Zone.
Founded in 1964, at Planalto Paulista, the establishment is still faithful to its traditions. After all, like a good neighborhood bakery, it offers freshly baked bread every morning and afternoon, has a plentiful display case and has been a regular for decades.

Luso State
The best bakery in the North Zone is also the three-time winner of the ‘Best Bread’ category. In other words, it’s worth a visit for anyone from São Paulo who loves a loaf of bread on the griddle.
But that’s not all that secured the position for Estado Luso. After all, since 1965 there has been a tradition of warm bread at any time of day and delicious pastries.

Merci Bakery
Merci was voted the best bakery in the West Zone for the second year and has many reasons for this.
That’s because here the quality of the craftsmanship is in every detail, from breakfast to dinner.

CEPAM
Last year, Cepam won best bakery in the city. Despite leaving the post this year, it remained the best in the East Zone.
According to some locals, the establishment is “the largest bakery in Latin America”. Although the nickname is unofficial, we can’t deny the immensity of the 2,500m² of space the business has.

Bella Paulista
For 21 years, Bella Paulista has been serving up tradition in the heart of São Paulo. After all, close to Avenida Paulista you can enjoy the delicacies of the house, which is open every day, 24 hours a day.
São Paulo’s traditional gastronomic meeting point makes Bella Paulista one of the city’s most beloved bakeries.
