What to expect from the 8th edition of the Paraty Food Festival?
Recognized by UNESCO as a Creative City of Gastronomy, Paraty’s theme this year is “Biomes.” The goal is to promote an immersion in the flavors and identities of different Brazilian regions, combining cuisine, sustainability, and environmental preservation.
The main attractions will be at Praça da Matriz, in the Historic Center. There, visitors will find a food court featuring flavors from across the country, as well as a craft fair and cultural activities.

- Roundtable discussions, lectures, and book launches;
- Guided hikes through the Atlantic Forest;
- Workshops for children and adults;
- Live shows and DJs.

Since the main activities take place in Paraty’s Historic Center, visitors can combine their visit to the Gastronomic Festival with a stroll through the region’s centuries-old architecture, which features examples from the 16th to the 19th centuries.
And it doesn’t stop there! Another attraction for tourists is the Gastronomic Circuit. During the event, various restaurants and local establishments will come together to create special and exclusive dishes inspired by Brazil’s biomes.
