What can you expect from the plot of ‘Legally Blonde – The Musical’?
Elle Woods’ world is turned up side down when her boyfriend breaks off the relationship with the excuse that the young woman, interested in fashion and beauty, is “too shallow” to have a relationship with a Harvard law student like him.
So she decides to turn things around and prove that she is more than she seems. Without abandoning the pomp and shades of pink, Elle applies for and is accepted at the same university as her ex-boyfriend and proves her worth to everyone, showing that appearances can be deceiving and that even with her p ompous looks, she is still a very intelligent woman capable of overcoming obstacles.
In a comic and moving way, the plot reflects on female empowerment and misogyny. After all, 23 years after the book’s release, we still find many reports of women being diminished in the job market and judged as frivolous for their interests.
So get inspired by Elle Woods solving legal cases and deconstructing preconceptions about the female universe without taking off your heels, and better still, without giving up your unique personality.
