O Catavento Museum one of São Paulo’s most beloved cultural venues, is having a party this weekend. After all, it’s celebrating its 16th anniversary! And to celebrate, Catavendo is bringing a special evening program, “A Night at the Museum”.
Inspired by the iconic movie of the same name, the event will make the museum “come alive” on the evening of Friday the 28th, at 7pm. There will be interactive activities for the whole family, which promise to approach science in a fun way.

Among the special activities at Catavento will be “Unraveling DNA”, which will explain the workings of the human genome in a playful way. The activity will also reflect on how biotechnology can help in criminal investigations.
Another option will be “Lightning Time”, where visitors will learn about the formation of lightning and its effects on the human body. Finally, visitors can choose between two extra activities: a guided sky observation or a “treasure hunt” with flashlights, looking for historical pieces in the collection.
Tickets start at R$22.50 and are available on the official website. Don’t miss the chance to experience this special evening at Catavento!
About the Catavento Museum
Opened in 2009, the Catavento Museum aims to bring people closer to the scientific world through interactive exhibitions and accessible language. The museum has four sections covering more than 12,000 square meters: Universe, Life, Engineering and Society.
Visitors can explore everything from the evolution of the universe to social issues, through experiences such as stepping on the moon or traveling through Brazil in the age of the dinosaurs. In other words, a space for all ages to learn in a fun and immersive way!
