Halloween in São Paulo now has a permanent home, right in the city’s Historic Center. The Rolim Building, considered the largest vertical horror complex in Latin America, is kicking off the most spine-chilling season in its history this month.
The lineup features the debut of a brand-new escape room in São Paulo, special effects makeup workshops, and spine-chilling nighttime experiences throughout the month of October. In addition, the venue is launching “Catacombs: The Origin of Evil, ” a horror experience inspired by the catacombs of Paris.

Rolim Building Takes Center Stage for Halloween in São Paulo
The new “Catacombs: The Origin of Evil” room occupies the building’s basement and marks a shift in approach for the complex. Unlike the other attractions, the Catacombs experience forgoes jump scares in favor of investigation and puzzle-solving.
In the story, two characters discover underground tunnels beneath the Rolim building and try to open a tour agency to explore them. However, the plan falls apart when ten people mysteriously disappear and the police seal off the site.
Participants have one hour to figure out what happened and close a portal connecting the building to Hell. Sessions are for those ages 13 and up and accommodate groups of 2 to 6 people, with tickets priced at R$ 99 available on the official website.

Escape rooms, themed workshops, and other experiences that will test your courage…
In addition to the “São Paulo catacombs” experience, the Rolim Building offers more attractions to test your courage. Those seeking extreme thrills can opt for theRolim Intensivo premium package( R$ 250), which includes an immersivetheater experience with greater interaction between the audience and actors. In this format, visitors wear an ID necklace to authorize physical contact with the characters —a level of immersion never before seen at the complex.
For those who prefer the unease of the early morning hours, “Rolim Abandonado” takes place on October 30 and 31, from midnight to 4 a.m. For R$129, visitors can roam the building freely, without a set route, experiencing the sensation of exploring the complex practically alone in the dark.
Rounding out the lineup, on October 15 and 22, the Lazuri Makeup Workshop will offer hands-on special effectsworkshops to take horror techniques beyond the walls of the Rolim Building.
With 100 years of history, the Rolim Building currently offers immersive experiences, theater, and a themed bar—all within a building that reinvented itself after years of neglect, becoming a leading destination in Brazil’s horror entertainment scene.
