Pinacoteca de São Paulo
The oldest art museum in the capital is an option for those looking for a cultural Monday. There are three exhibition buildings open to the public: Pinacoteca Luz, Pinacoteca Estação and Pinacoteca Contemporânea, each with its own program. The collection includes more than ten thousand works, most of which are Brazilian paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries. Banco do Brasil Cultural Center
The CCBB-SP hosts temporary art exhibitions, with paintings, photographs and visual artworks. In addition, music performances, theater and educational workshops make up the program, which has options for all tastes and ages.

São Paulo Resistance Memorial
Located in the former building of the State Department of Political and Social Order (DEOPS/SP), this museum is dedicated to preserving the memory of resistance against the Brazilian dictatorship. As well as temporary exhibitions reflecting on the struggle for democracy in Brazil and around the world, the Memorial features a permanent collection of cells and objects from the DEOPS/SP era, reflecting on the political persecutions of the time.
Note: as of June 30, 2025, the long-term exhibition will be temporarily unavailable due to renovations in the building. Visit until June 29.

Museum of Inventions (Inventolandia)
Folding piano? Bald comb? These and other inventions make up the collection of the Museum of Inventions, which brings together curious and amusing scientific works.

APCD Museum (Instituto Museu de Odontologia de São Paulo Dr. Elias Rosenthal)
Founded in 1986, the APCD Museum (Associação Paulista de Cirurgiões-Dentistas) tells the story of dentistry in Brazil. Its collection contains objects that have been part of the profession from the earliest times, such as chairs, prostheses and equipment, right up to the present day. One of the highlights, for example, is the Dentista Ambulante (photo) , which lasted from the 1880s until the last century!

Eyeglass Museum
This is the only museum in Latin America dedicated to telling the story of glasses, from the most primitive to the present day. Located in a listed 1920s mansion, it features more than 700 models, including rare and very old accessories dating back more than eight centuries! You can also see the frames of famous people such as Hebe Camargo, Jô Soares and Rita Lee.

Lasar Segall Museum
One of the pioneers of modern Brazilian art, Lasar Segall, also has a space dedicated to his work. After his death in 1957, his former home and studio was transformed into a museum with more than 3,000 works, including sculptures and prints. Like other museums that open on Mondays, this one offers not only exhibitions, but also workshops, a cinema and a library.
