Always held during the Corpus Christi holiday, the city of Guararema is preparing to host the 3rd edition of the Jazz & Blues Festival. With free admission, the festival takes place at the Guararema Tourist Resort. It promises concerts, cuisine, and cultural activities in one of the region’s most iconic locations.
One of the largest festivals of its kind in the country, as its name suggests, it has a strong focus on jazz, blues, soul, and instrumental music. This year, Brazilian and international artists from countries such as Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Norway, and the United States will take the stage.
In addition to providing a high-level, free program for locals and tourists, the festival also offers an experience beyond the stages. With a themed and even Instagram-worthy atmosphere , complete with artistic installations.
Organized by the Guararema Tourist Resort City Hall, the 2026 edition is expected to be the largest ever held. The lineup features 35 shows divided between two stages: the Pau D’Alho Stage, on the banks of the Paraíba do Sul River, and the Deoclésia Stage, in the Leisure Park.
Main musical attractions
Among the most anticipated international acts are Americans Stanley Jordan, Omar Coleman, and Iretta Sanders; French artist Camille Bertault; and Norwegian Ivan Mazuze. Also performing are the Canadian band The Brooks and multi-instrumentalist Xantoné Blacq.
Among the Brazilian highlights are: the band Banda Mantiqueira, the group Pau Brasil, Armandinho Macedo & Spok, and pianist Bianca Gismonti Trio. Also confirmed to perform are the blues- , Big Chico, and Filó Machado, who will even invite Joabe Reis for a meeting of jazz generations on the festival stage.

In addition to the concerts, the public also has access to cultural activities taking place throughout the Guararema tourist center. The traveling attractions feature street performances and activities such as the GuararemaWalking Tour.
The free tour guides residents and visitors through the streets and tourist attractions, sharing stories and interesting facts about the city. It’s a great option for those visiting Guararema for the first time.
The festival also stands out for its cuisine. The food area features a variedmenu that changes with each edition. However, it always includes options such as slow-cooked ribs, a cold cuts platter, artisanal burgers, pastries, wines, draft beer, desserts, and French fries.
