You certainly know the Portuguese Language Museum the first in the world to be dedicated to one language. But did you know that, in addition to the exhibitions, the space also has a café? Located on the terrace of the Estação da Luz, Flor Café is one of those hidden corners we love so much in São Paulo, perfect for a relaxing afternoon full of delicacies!
The space has a privileged view of Parque da Luz, and is just the stop you need after an afternoon exploring the museum. Shall we get to know it?
Flor Café: discover the café on the terrace of the Portuguese Language Museum
The café has been around since 2004 and has already made its presence felt in various cultural venues in the capital. First, it was based at the Pinacoteca de São Paulo, and then at the Football Museum. It was only in 2021 that it migrated to the Portuguese Language Museum, where it has been ever since.
There are two units, one on the first floor and the other on the Museum’s terrace. On the menu, you’ll find options for quick snacks or meals. For those who want a snack, for example, some of the options are cheese bread, Argentinian empanadas, bauru, esfihas and other savory snacks. But if you’re hungrier, you can order hot dishes such as breast with spaghetti or pumpkin quiche.
The drinks range from natural juices, coffees and frappes to a dozen wine labels. And to sweeten your visit, enjoy cakes, açaí, waffles, coconut manjar, chocolate tarts and more!
In addition to all the delicious food on the menu, the great thing about the terrace is the view. After all, it’s right next to the Relógio da Luz and has a privileged view of the Jardim da Luz. A great weekend program, isn’t it?
How to get to know it?
Flor Café is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 6pm. The unit on the first floor is available to everyone free of charge, with access from gate A of Estação da Luz.
