Just a month ago, the American doughnut chain Krispy Kreme opened its first store in Brazil, in the West Zone of São Paulo – and it quickly became the darling of São Paulo residents. Now it’s the turn of another American giant to open here! We’re talking about Firehouse Subs, a sandwich chain that has chosen Greater São Paulo to start its activities in our country.
The eatery has more than 1,300 locations around the world, including Canada, Switzerland, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates. In these places, it attracts attention by offering more than 20 submarine sandwiches, with vegan and super-spicy options. So if you’re already curious to try it, check out more spoilers below!
Meet Firehouse Subs, which is opening a store in São Paulo soon
The brand debuted in 1994 in the US state of Florida. Its founders were two brothers who were former firefighters, which influenced the brand’s name:“Firehouse” means Fire Department, a theme that influences all the company’s decor and marketing.
The “Subs” refers to the brand’s flagship, the famous submarine. Also known as an Italian sandwich, this variety of snack consists of a long loaf of bread with several layers and fillings, which at Firehouse Subs, receive exclusive recipes.
A distinctive feature of Firehouse Subs is the use of steam to bring out the flavor of the ingredients, such as cheeses and meats. The menu for the Brazilian store is not yet available, but we expect to see internationally famous flavors, such as the Hook & Ladder (turkey, ham and Monterey Jack cheese).
Firehouse Steak & Cheese (steak, provolone, onion and pepper) and Italian (salami, ham, cheese and Italian sauce) are also popular. There is also a choice of salads, fries, desserts and special combos for children.
Where will Firehouse’s first Brazilian store be located?
The international chain opens its doors in Brazil next Monday, June 2. The store will be located at Internacional Shopping Guarulhos, close to the Tietê Ecological Park and the North Zone of São Paulo.
Then it will be Santo André ‘s turn to receive a Firehouse Subs unit, at Grand Plaza Shopping, the largest in ABC Paulista. We still don’t have any information about a store in the capital of São Paulo, but according to the brand’s social networks, the expectation is that there will be many more addresses to come!
