Coffee is an old ally of São Paulo, shaping the state’s economy since the 19th century. Nothing could be more fitting, therefore, than a special celebration in honor of the bean! From May 22 to 24, Serra Negra hosts the 2026 Coffee & Riches of the Mountains Festival, which celebrates the coffee tradition of São Paulo’s interior.
The town, located just 175 kilometers from the capital, will host a specialty coffee fair and various free cultural attractions. In other words: a golden tip for São Paulo residents who love caffeine and culinary experiences!

Serra Negra Coffee Festival honors a century-old tradition
The Serra Negra Coffee Festival was created to promote exclusive beans from the São Paulo Water Circuit, honoring a history that began in 1850. At that time, coffee cultivation drove economic growth so significantly that it became a fundamental pillar of local culture.
Thus, the 2026 edition keeps this legacy alive by celebrating artisanal production. In addition, the event allows the public to meet coffee growers in person and sample award-winning flavors! But it’s not just the coffee that shines there: visitors will also find artisanal cheeses, honey, cachaças, and high-quality regional wines .
And, like any good festival in the São Paulo countryside, this one will also feature a stellar musical lineup! Over the three days of the festival, the public can enjoy live performances of various genres, including orchestral, country, rock, and sertanejo.
How to visit?
You’ll have just three days to enjoy the 2026 Coffee & Riches of the Mountains Festival, which will take place on Avenida Deputado Campos Vergal. Admission is free.
Finally, you can plan your trip to explore other treasures of Serra Negra, such as the family-run wineries and the famous replica of the Trevi Fountain. So, grab a cup and enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the Mantiqueira Mountains at the 2026 Coffee Festival!
