Pamonha, curau, chicken with polenta… If these words make your mouth water, we already have the perfect plan for your holiday. This long weekend, from May 1st to 3rd, you can enjoy the final moments of the 2026 Vinhedo Corn Festival, the tastiest celebration in the São Paulo countryside.
As you might imagine, the main highlight of the event is the traditional corn-based cuisine. But the program goes far beyond that, also offering musical performances and religious celebrations. It’s a must-see event for anyone looking for a festival in the countryside of São Paulo that brings together faith, music, and traditional flavors all in one place!
Vinhedo Corn Festival 2026: a community tradition
The festival is an annual initiative of the São Francisco de Assis Parish, with support from the local city government. The 18th edition, held at Jayme Ferragut Municipal Park, began in April and is already coming to a close. So keep an eye on the schedule so you don’t miss this opportunity!
Visitors will find dozens of irresistible corn-based recipes, ranging from savory snacks to light meals and desserts. Everything is prepared by parish volunteers, who begin meeting more than a month in advance to ensure the quality of every dish.
The cultural program also attracts visitors with a craft fair, raffles, and live performances by regional artists. Finally, for those seeking a moment of faith, the event features an outdoor mass on the morning of the 3rd.

Festival expects to sell 20,000 corn cakes!
The main attraction of the Vinhedo Corn Festival is, without a doubt, the pamonha. Given the public’s passion for this delicacy, the organizers have set a bold goal for this edition: to sell 20,000 units by the end of the event!
You already know this, but it’s worth a reminder: Vinhedo is just 80 kilometers from São Paulo. So, residents of São Paulo are more than welcome to visit the city and help the volunteers reach this delicious goal!
