But don’t worry—it’s not our nemesis Haaland who’s wandering around Brazil. We’re talking about VillaLeta, a Viking village 164 kilometers from São Paulo that recreates the customs and way of life of the ancient Scandinavian peoples.

VillaLeta: a cultural immersion in the heart of the forest
The Viking village makes an impression right from the start with its realistic atmosphere. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by the impressive Kattegat Wall, which recreates the defensive fortifications of the past. And then there’s the Drakkar, a faithful replica of the ships that warriors used to explore the oceans.
The 20,000-square-meter site also features a nature trail, an archery range , and a Viking hall with themed decor and replicas of period artifacts. In addition, children can enjoy an outdoor play area or have fun with Mel and Caramelo, two adorable St. Bernards that live on site.
The cuisine is another highlight of the experience, with a restaurant serving traditional Nordic dishes. To complement the meal, visitors can participate in a mead tasting—the honey wine known to the Vikings as “the drink of the gods.”
