This weekend, the Latin American Memorial will host the Thai Festival 2026, an event celebrating Thai culture. Organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Brazil, this free event brings the best of Thai cuisine, dance, martial arts, and wellness to São Paulo.
In addition to celebrating ancient traditions and sampling authentic Thai cuisine, the public will be able to explore interactive booths on tourism, trade, and investment; purchase traditional handicrafts; and learn to write their own names in the Thai language.

South Asian Culture and Cuisine at the Memorial da América Latina
Although holding a Thai festival at the Memorial da América Latina may seem curious at first glance, make no mistake. The similarities between the two cultures are so numerous that some say Thailand is one of the “most Latin” countries in Asia! In addition to a rich culinary tradition, its citizens are known internationally for their friendliness, hospitality, and good humor.
That’s why visiting the event means immersing yourself in the culture of a country that, although geographically distant, is more similar to Brazil than we might imagine. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn about its traditions and, of course, savor the best of Thai cuisine in São Paulo.

The main attraction is the food court dedicated to Thai cuisine. Visitors can expect a menu that balances sweet, savory, spicy, and citrusy flavors, featuring traditional dishes such as curries, aromatic soups, and the famous Pad Thai —stir-fried rice noodles that are the country’s national dish.
In addition to the culinary delights, visitors will experience a complete cultural immersion:
- Special messages from Thaidrama actors ;
- Traditional Thai dances featuring traditional costumes and rhythms;
- AI-powered photo booth to “try on” traditional Thai attire;
- Muay Thai, or“Thai boxing,” which is a symbol of the country’s identity;
- Thai massage demonstrations, featuring ancient relaxation techniques.
