Let’s be honest: there’s nothing better to ward off the cold than a good glass of wine paired with delicious food. That’s why this month’s cultural tip is the Pasta, Wine, and Pizza Festival, which promises to warm up São Roque’s winter with plenty of street food, live shows, and culture.
The first edition of the event will take place on June 20 and 21, just 60 kilometers from the capital. It’s the perfect excuse for a romantic or familyday trip, transforming the “Land of Wine” into a destination for culinary experiences and outdoor entertainment.

1st São Roque Pasta, Wine, and Pizza Festival
The new event is a creation of Roteiro do Centro, an association that organizes street festivals to promote the city’s commerce and heritage. Even before its debut, the festival promises to become a fixture on the local events calendar, establishing itself as a staple winter attraction in the São Paulo countryside.
The focus on pasta, pizza, and wine aims to revive the region’s Italian and winemaking traditions. It’s the ideal opportunity for those already familiar with the Wine Route to now explore the charming historic center of São Roque.

What to find at the festival: cuisine and attractions
The event will function as an open-air food court, featuring tables, bars, and exhibitors. The menu includes:
- Fresh, handmadepasta from small restaurants and traditional cantinas;
- Pizzas with classic and signature flavors;
- Wines from São Roque, which the public can taste and purchase directly from producers and family-run wineries;
- Winter foods, such as hot dishes, antipasti, and appetizers.
In addition, to liven up the cool afternoons and evenings, the festival has prepared a selection of free concerts featuring MPB, jazz, rock, and blues. All of this at the Old São Roque Railway Station, a building from 1875 that holds memories of São Paulo’s past on the rails!
