Until Sunday the 22nd, Parque Villa-Lobos is bringing a little piece of Germany to São Paulo. That’s because the 7th edition of the São Paulo Oktoberfest – the biggest German festival in the southeast – is coming up with lots of attractions for all tastes. So, if you want to take part in this beer-fueled revelry, here’s a guide to the main questions about the next edition. Enjoy!
What is Oktoberfest?
Oktoberfest is a festival that originated in Bavaria, a region in Germany. At the time, the festival celebrated the wedding of Bavarian King Louis I and became a tradition that went beyond German culture and spread around the world.
Here in Brazil, the festival began in 1984, in the traditional version in Blumenau (SC). In São Paulo, the event began in 2017 and has been a success with each new edition.
Among the attractions at Oktoberfest SP, we have the Biergarten (“beer garden”, where the public can try the event’s official drinks), Biertent (main stage), Germany Tent (space with performances by folk groups and typical German bands) and even an exclusive box with open bar of the official São Paulo Oktoberfest draft beer, non-alcoholic drinks included and exclusive toilets.
How do I get my ticket to the São Paulo Oktoberfest?

Gastronomic attractions at Oktoberfest SP
As well as great music, the São Paulo Oktoberfest also has a range of gastronomic options. The full program is not yet available, but we can base ourselves on the 2023 festival to guess what’s to come.
Last year, for example, the menu was packed with items to suit all tastes. From traditional German food to portions and snacks familiar from the São Paulo menu. For example: weisswurst, currywurst, rösti potatoes, sauerkraut, breaded chicken, pizza, potato dishes, hot dogs, ham snacks and much more.
