Liberdade’s culinary scene now features a themed café inspired by one of the most classic anime series of the 1990s! Café Cardcaptor Sakura by Akiba Station draws inspiration from the series’ aesthetic to create a completely pink atmosphere, complete with artificial cherry blossom trees, totems, and murals featuring Sakura, Syaoran, Tomoyo, and other main characters from the story.
The café’s concept is to combine the nostalgia of *Sakura Card Captors* with an incredibly cute menu that complements the decor. As a result, fans can find everything from quick options, such as espressos and simple savory snacks, to elaborate desserts, including the Cherry Blossom Roll Cake, sweets shaped like the mascot Kero, and slices of Sakura’s Ichigo Cake.
Menu options and dining experience
The beverage menu includes classic frappés, such as the matcha version, and themed flavors like the Cherry Blossom Latte. In addition, the café serves viennoiserie items, which bring together the best of traditional baking and pastry-making. The most famous is the housecroissant , which the staff finishes at the table with a generous serving of chocolate sauce!
In other words, Café Cardcaptor Sakura offers a playful experience for fans of the anime. Not to mention, of course, reinforcing the presence of Asian pop culture-themed businesses in the Liberdade neighborhood.

When to visit?
Themed cafes are one of the major attractions in São Paulo, often facing large crowds—and Café Cardcaptor Sakura is no exception. So, our top tip is to avoid visiting on Saturdays, when the café sees the highest number of customers.
The best time to find open tables and enjoy the atmosphere in peace is Monday through Friday, in the middle of the afternoon. That way, you can enjoy the Sakura Card Captors café in much greater comfort!
