If you’re planning to travel to the countryside this weekend, be aware of the closed roads in São Paulo. Construction on the Anhanguera and Bandeirantes highways requires extra caution from those planning to enjoy their time off in the countryside, as it’s causing restrictions on lanes, shoulders, and on-ramps.
The schedule from the AutoBAn concessionaire calls for work through this Sunday, the 18th. Although the construction will not result in a total closure of the highways, it’s worth checking the affected sections and work schedules when planning your trip.

Roads closed in São Paulo: check the sections with restrictions
On the Anhanguera Highway (SP-330), drainage work at km 86.2 is blocking access from the Magalhães Teixeira Highway to the Anhanguera Highway. At the same time, work at km 130 is causing occasional closures of the shoulder from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The Bandeirantes Highway (SP-348) will also have convoy operations this weekend. From 10:00 p.m. on Saturday (the 17th) to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday (the 18th), work will take place at km 19.109. Crews will close the left lane in both directions to install a pedestrian overpass.
In addition, the Bandeirantes Highway has the following closures:
- Km 49 (Jundiaí): the U-turn is closed to traffic heading inland;
- Km 167.8 (Cordeirópolis): alternating closures in both directions.
The concessionaire does not provide official alternative routes for these roadwork sections. Therefore, before hitting the road, check traffic conditions via the AutoBAn hotline or WhatsApp, both at 0800 055 55 50.
