Palcos: SP is coming to the capital of São Paulo to bring the public closer to major national productions. From September 3 to October 3, the project will offer 20 free performances at municipal theaters, featuring acclaimed plays and star-studded casts.
The initiative offers an opportunity to watch some of Brazil’s most famous plays at no cost. Featuring Débora Falabella, Vera Holtz, Marília Gabriela, Marcelo Médici, and other great artists on stage!

Palcos: SP Expands Access to Theater
Organized by the Arlequim Institute in partnership with the City of São Paulo, Palcos: SP takes place in six municipal public theaters in neighborhoods such as Santo Amaro, Mooca, Santana, and Lapa. Decentralization is a fundamental pillar of the project, bringing acclaimed productions to various parts of the city.
The goal is to reduce the economic and social barriers that often keep new audiences from experiencing the performing arts. By offering free theater performances, the initiative invites spectators from all walks of life to participate: from those who already frequent theaters to those who will be attending a show for the first time.

How can you watch plays for free in São Paulo?
Tickets for each performance are available at the box office of the respective theater one hour before the performance begins. Distribution is subject to venue capacity, so the tip is to arrive early to ensure you can enjoy the show.
