
CPTM Line 12-Safira is one of the main routes connecting the East Zone of São Paulo with the metropolitan region. Running from Brás, in the central region, to Poá, 30 kilometers from the capital, it has 13 stations and almost 40 kilometers of track, carrying around 260,000 passengers a day.

Sesc Belenzinho
15 minutes from Tatuapé Station is the Sesc Belenzinho which offers cultural attractions for the whole family. The unit’s main feature is its six swimming pools, for children and adults. But it also has a library, free exhibitions, sports classes and much more.

Immigration Museum
The Immigration Museum is just a few minutes from CPTM’s Brás station, the first on Line 12-Safira. Admission starts at just R$8, and there you can enjoy exhibitions, cultural fairs, a book club and courses on immigration in Brazil.

São Miguel Paulista Municipal Market
How about a gastronomic and cultural tour of Linha Safira? The São Miguel Paulista Municipal Market is about 10 minutes from São Miguel station and has restaurants, fishmongers, spice, fruit and sweet stores, snack bars and even bookstores .

Tietê Ecological Park
For those who want a nature walk, the Tietê Ecological Park is a great option. On the banks of the city’s most important river, it is home to thousands of plant and animal species and offers trails, playgrounds, bicycle and pedal boat rentals. And the best part: it’s just a 3-minute walk from Engenheiro Goulart Station, on Line 12-Safira.

Cachaça Museum
For those who love spirits, our tip for what to do on Line 12-Safira is to visit the Cachaça Museum. The museum is located in Itaquaquecetuba, a town next to São Paulo, in the Roda D’Água Restaurant, a space full of nature. With more than 5,000 labels, it’s a good opportunity to learn about the history of the drink and do some tasting.
To visit the Cachaça Museum using Line 12-Safira, simply travel to Itaquaquecetuba station, which is a 20-minute cab or Uber ride from the restaurant.
