
Located on Estrada Pinheirinho Novo, 2036 – Itaquaquecetuba, a 1-hour drive from the capital of São Paulo, is the Cachaça Museum, a space dedicated to the history of the alcoholic drink distilled from sugarcane juice.

What do you find at the Cachaça Museum?
This unobvious museum has a collection of more than 5,000 cachaça labels from various corners of Brazil and was opened 10 years ago. It is currently only open to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays and is staffed by an employee who gives you a guided tour full of information and curiosities. To access the space during the week, it is essential to book a tour.
The idea came about when Sebastião Marcino Soares, owner of the Roda D’Água Restaurant, began to win and buy several bottles of the drink. Over time, a collection was built up and the proposal to set up a museum to exhibit the items soon emerged.
At the end of the visit, it’s even possible to taste a cachaça, making the experience even more complete. So, if you like the drink, it’s a worthwhile trip.
Visit the Roda D’Água Restaurant
The Cachaça Museum is located inside the Roda D’Água Restaurant. There, visitors can take advantage of the tour to taste Brazilian culinary delights. Dishes range from R$42 to R$180 and, if you’re interested, you can also buy some of the drinks on display.
In addition, the space has a playground for children, a wooded area for strolling, kiosks and a lake, where visitors will find the water wheel that gives the complex its name and beautiful outdoor macaws . It’s a complete destination for eating well and spending the day with the family!
