The interior of São Paulo offers attractions for everyone, including children. If you’re thinking of going on a family trip (or just a day trip), here are some of the best cities to visit in the interior of São Paulo with children.
Brotas
First of all, Brotas is perfect for families who enjoy being surrounded by nature. The city is known as the capital of adventure tourism, and offers a variety of excursions for children and adults.
A very common option there is Mini Rafting or Rafting Kids, for example. In this lighter version of the sport, the little ones can travel along the calmer stretches of the Jacaré Pepira river with their parents and instructors in inflatable rafts.
The Poção Brotas nature park is also in the city and has a playground, zip line and river beach with a sandy bottom.

One hour from the capital, the city offers one of the most complete free parks in São Paulo. The Children’s World is a public attraction, with free admission, which includes playgrounds, sports courts, a skate park, rock climbing and much more! What’s more, last month the place got a super refreshing water park.
To top it off, the town is just 20 minutes away from Hopi Hari, the country’s most famous amusement park, and Wet N’ Wild, which promises even more water fun for the kids.

Olimpia
In the northwest of the state, this is an option for those who have time and want to take a longer trip. Almost on the border with Minas Gerais, Olímpia is especially known for its thermal waters and for having the largest water park in Latin America!
We’re talking about Thermas dos Laranjais which offers attractions for everyone, from children to the elderly. There you’ll find a wave pool, a surf track, a lazy river and a toboggan run. There’s also a zoo and even a little farm!
Another local option is Dinosaur Valley which allows children to take a real trip back in time to the era of these giants, with more than 38 animatronic replicas that move and can even roar!

Atibaia
If you’re looking for a nearby city to enjoy the countryside with children, why not visit Atibaia? Also known as the strawberry capital, the city has several resorts with water parks, instructors and guaranteed fun.
This is where Tauá Resort Atibaia is located, for example, the chain’s largest unit, which even has a rollercoaster in its water park.

Itu
Finally, this city to the northwest of the capital is another tip for enjoying the interior of São Paulo with children. The Praça dos Exageros, for example, is one of the city’s trademarks and allows children to see the huge size of satellite dishes, traffic lights and other objects.
In addition, the Maeda Park is located in the city, right in the middle of the Atlantic Forest. There, you’ll find two cable cars, a water park and you can even take walks through fields of strawberry and jabuticaba trees.
