You no longer need to travel 600 kilometers to Inhotim, in Minas Gerais, to enjoy great works of art outdoors. Starting this weekend, residents of São Paulo and tourists from across the country can visit Aramat Park, a new 420,000-square-meter space that brings together culture, contemporary art, and biodiversity.
The official opening will be this Saturday, May 30. The good news is that the attraction is just 200 kilometers from the capital, in the picturesque Serra do Itaqueri, between the municipalities of São Pedro and Águas de São Pedro. Check out everything you need to know to plan your trip below!

Discover Aramat Park, the new “Inhotim of São Paulo”
Aramat — Cultural Park of Art and Nature was created with the purpose of being a gigantic open-air museum in the interior of São Paulo. The project offers a complete immersive experience, stimulating all of visitors’ senses through contact with the earth, walks, the sounds of local wildlife, exhibitions, and a Gastronomic Village.
In addition to its cultural appeal, the park highlights its commitment to sustainability. During the implementation phase, the project restored four water springs and planted around 200,000 tree seedlings on the site! Currently, the complex preserves 100,000 square meters of native Atlantic Forest and expects to welcome more than 100,000 visitors per year.

The Cultural Park of Art and Nature offers a free, playful, and contemplative experience just 2.5 hours from São Paulo
Aramat is divided into seven sectors, offering a full-day outing ideal for families, couples, and school groups. During your visit, you’ll find:
- Open-air installations and Land Art: About 30 large-scale contemporary artworks that interact with the terrain, vegetation, and water features;
- Multifunctional pavilions: Enclosed spaces that will host temporary exhibitions and events;
- Lakes and nature: Five natural lakes, gardens, and outdoor rest areas;
- Educational programs: An open-air studio with interactive workshops, recreational activities, and school visits.
Aramat Park opens its doors this Saturday, May 30, at 9 a.m. Since the visit involves walking outdoors, we recommend wearing light clothing, comfortable sneakers, a cap or hat, and, of course, don’t forget the sunscreen. Another golden tip is to bring a small bottle of water to stay hydrated throughout the day. How about planning this trip?
