From now on, the famous viewpoint has the Sampa Sky 360º, an attraction that allows you to fly over the city of São Paulo using mixed reality technological glasses.
The virtual deck features a four-minute movie that shows visitors some of the city’s most iconic sites, narrated by journalist Marcelo Tas. So, as well as enjoying the city from above, you can now also experience the incredible sensation of “flying” through virtual reality!
About Sampa Sky
A project inspired by Chicago
According to the official Sampa Sky website, the project was inspired by the famous Sky Deck in Chicago, Illinois, located on the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower and one of the must-see attractions in the American city.
The São Paulo observation deck is made up of two huge retractable glass windows, a solution chosen so as not to alter the façade of the historic building that houses it. The first window offers a panoramic view of the city over the Anhangabaú Valley and the Santa Ifigênia Viaduct, while the second overlooks Avenida Prestes Maia, on the east side of the city.
The 2023 extension included two new glass platforms offering a full 360º panoramic view of São Paulo.
Its fame has grown rapidly, making it a must-visit. After all, from up there, the stone jungle looks even more beautiful.
We know our city isn’t perfect, but we’re sure you’ll see it with new eyes after enjoying this panoramic view. The feeling of being there is indescribable, so make sure you plan your visit!
