The announcement of the winners of “The World’s 50 Best Bars” 2025 brought exciting news for São Paulo: the national highlight went to Tan Tan, located on Rua Fradique Coutinho, in Pinheiros. The bar came 24th in the ranking and was the only Brazilian to make the list.
The award, which recognizes the best bars in the world, is a veritable Oscar for high cocktails. So take the opportunity below to get to know the São Paulo star and its good drinks.

Tradition and modernity in the heart of São Paulo
Since its opening in December 2015, Tan Tan has established itself as one of São Paulo’s most influential bars. The space was initially inspired by Japanese ramen houses, but soon expanded its proposal, combining Japanese cuisine and signature drinks.
According to the World’s 50 Best Bars, Tan Tan stands out for being “an intimate but bustling place ” where you can find “sophisticated cocktails and delicious Asian dishes“. The guide also mentions the house’s hybrid concept, which is divided between bar and restaurant to serve Brazilian and Asian flavors.
This is the fourth time that the Pinheiros bar has been listed among the best bars in the world. Its debut in the World’s 50 Best Bars was in 2019, and since then, it has been featured in 2023 and 2024, occupying the 56th and 31st positions, respectively

What makes Tan Tan unique?
The bar has an interior design that combines angular surfaces with materials such as wood, hammered metal and granite. This aesthetic creates a modern and welcoming atmosphere, as well as reflecting the fusion of tradition and contemporaneity.
The cuisine on offer is a fusion of Japanese dishes with Brazilian influences. The menu includes noodles, dumplings and snacks, including the famous katsu sandos.
But, of course, the great recognition comes from the inventive cocktails full of flavor created by bartender Caio Carvalhaes. The award highlights the new “Pour-Hibition” menu, with nine new drinks, including non-alcoholic options.
