The tallest residential building in the world will be in Brazil, and could be over 500 meters high. Expected to open in 8 or 10 years, the Senna Tower will have 228 apartments and suspended mansions that could cost up to R$200 million each.
The building will be located on the waterfront of Balneário Camboriú (SC), which has been nicknamed the “Brazilian Dubai” because it is home to some of the country’s largest skyscrapers. With the most expensive square meter in the country (around R$13,000), Balneário has already had properties bought by celebrities such as Neymar, Zezé di Camargo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sorocaba and Luan Santana.
Senna Tower: the world’s tallest residential building will pay tribute to the Formula 1 driver
The building’s name refers to Ayrton Senna, one of Brazil’s and the world’s greatest drivers. The project is being developed by the FG construction company in partnership with the Hang family, which owns the Havan chain of stores, and the Senna family. The aim is for the building to be a symbol of the driver’s journey of overcoming obstacles, with his career as an inspiration.
Among the 228 units, there will be suspended mansions and luxury apartments – including duplexes and triplexes – ranging from 420 to 903 square meters. As far as prices are concerned, the “humblest” options cost around R$25 million, while the most luxurious are in the region of R$200 million.
In addition, the building will have a leisure area, swimming pools, courts and a gym, as well as its own observatory. There will also be open spaces for the public, although no further information has yet been released on how this environment will be accessible to non-residents.
