Connected Smart Cities has published a ranking of 656 cities in the country. São Paulo stands out for occupying a third of the 15 safest cities in Brazil and in first place is Santana de Parnaíba, located 43 km away from the capital.
The survey evaluates indicators such as the number of homicides, security spending, monitoring of risk areas, traffic deaths, the ratio of police officers to inhabitants and operations control centers. With this, the platform is able to draw up a ranking that lists the cities with the highest security indexes.

What to know about Santana de Parnaíba?
The charming historic town is located between the Castelo Branco and Anhanguera highways, in the Osasco region. Founded in 1580 on the banks of the River Tietê, it is one of the oldest cities in the country! It is also home to around 154,000 inhabitants.
When you visit Santana de Parnaíba, be sure to visit the town’s main tourist and historical sites, such as the town center, which houses the largest architectural complex of rammed earth houses in the state; the Santa Ana Mother Church and the Anhanguera Museum, located in a 17th century mansion, the only remaining urban bandeirista house.
