St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral
St. Nicholas Cathedral was founded in 1926 by Russian immigrants who took refuge in São Paulo after the 1917 Revolution. The architectural design by Konstantin Trofimov follows the traditional Russian style, with rounded towers and colorful stained glass windows that transform the space into a little piece of Eastern Europe in Brazil.
In addition to its religious importance, the Russian Orthodox Cathedral is also a tourist attraction for those interested in culture, history… and languages. After all, the masses feature chants in Russian and Portuguese, providing a spiritual, traditional and multicultural experience.
