Pet parents can now mark their calendars: in April, the first festival dedicated to the universe of pets and their guardians arrives in São Paulo. The venue has not yet been decided, but it is expected to be in a large park in the capital.

What can I expect from the Pet Festival in SP?
The event aims to bring together all those who see their dogs, cats and other pets as real family members. As well as entertainment for the stars of the party, the festival also offers attractions for children and adults. In this way, it has established itself as an attractive plan for the whole family.
Among the activities scheduled to take place during the Pet Festival, visitors will be able to enjoy various lectures, debates, brand activations related to the segment, art exhibitions and even an open-air cinema. In other words, there’s no standing still at this unprecedented event.
A market that moves billions
São Paulo has adapted to promote animal welfare. As a result, seeing pet-friendly areas, puppies walking in shopping malls or having fun in dog parks and even in restaurants has become a common scene here.
With the increase in the participation of pets in the routine of humans, investment in the quality of life of these animals has also increased. According to the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea), in 2023 this market was worth R$70 billion reais.
