On November 2nd and 3rd, Memorial da América Latina will host another edition of the Día de Los Muertos Festival. With free admission, the event refers to the Mexican tradition of paying homage to the departed.
Musical performances, traditional mariachis, typical dances, Mexican food, lucha libre and costume contests are scheduled to celebrate. Mark your calendars now!
Día de Los Muertos Festival presents gastronomy and culture
On November 2 and 3, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., the public will be able to enjoy typical food from the Latin American country, as well as Mariachi performances.
As well as Latin music, other attractions and activities include:
- Lucha Libre Ring, with pairs of masked luchadors performing sequences of holds and aerial moves;
- Costume and Catrinas competitions;
- Altars of the dead;
- Mexican skull make-up artists .
But it doesn’t stop there. Check out the options of dishes from the country:
- Burritos;
- Tacos;
- Papa Rellena (a kind of croquette);
- Tamales (which resemble pamonha, but come from Aztec cuisine);
- Quesadillas (cheese, meat and even pork);
- Vegan chimichangas;
- Frozen Margarita;
- And much more!
