Jazz Mansion reaches its 30th edition with São Paulo’s most charming jazz festival! On August 22 and 23, this multi-artistic experience takes over the National Club in Pacaembu, featuring more than 40 artists and ten different spaces dedicated to music, culture, and cuisine.
The event celebrates ten years of history in an iconic 1950s building. Designed by architect Jacques Pillon in the 1940s for banker Orozimbo Roxo Loureiro, the property features gardens and interior design by Burle Marx and Di Cavalcanti.

International highlights and the Brazilian scene take the stage
The main attraction at Jazz Mansion is Greg Banks, a singer-songwriter from New Orleans. After surviving Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and losing his family home, Banks turned music into a tool for resilience. In 2020, he created the “Concert on the Block” series, bringing his “AfroSoul” style to street corners and subway stations in New York City.
Also from New York, Andy Blanc returns to the Jazz Mansion with The Odds Band to present ImpossibleOdds’ Gentleman Hip-Hop, which blends jazz, classical music, and hip-hop. Meanwhile, singer Queen Iretta embodies the roots of Southern American blues alongside the guitarists The Simi Brothers.
Furthermore, the national lineup for this São Paulo jazz festival includes the Rio de Janeiro-based quartet Sweet Jazz, Banda Nova Malandragem, and Ebbe Brass, which draws inspiration from the techno marching band movement. Finally, the Pre7 project invites singer Jamah (a finalist on “The Voice Brasil”) and to pay tribute to trumpeter Roy Hargrove.
A decade of independent music and cultural occupation in São Paulo
Dennis Vianêz’s project began in 2016 with the goal of repurposing historic, underutilized mansions in São Paulo. Over the course of a decade, Jazz Mansion has established itself as an interstate event, having held 29 editions in São Paulo and three in Rio de Janeiro.
Currently, the community hosts regular weekly events:“Toda Terça Um Jazz”(Jazz Every Tuesday) and “ ” at the Bourbon Street Music Club; and “Caju Jazz Nights” at the JW Marriott. In addition, there is a monthly membership club that offers VIP access, discounts, and exclusive benefits at the festivals.
