The interior of São Paulo gains an extra touch of charm as winter draws to a close! That’s because, on August 28 and 29, Jazz na Serra 2026 transforms the small town of Santo Antônio do Pinhal into a large open-air stage for instrumental music.
Just two hours from São Paulo, the town will host live concerts in squares and on avenues, all with free admission. The festival promises two days of programming and a welcoming atmosphere, along with the fresh mountain air of the Serra da Mantiqueira.

Jazz na Serra 2026 brings together big names and local talent
The event’s curators are committed to diversity, bringing together renowned artists from the national scene and local projects from the Mantiqueira region. Although this year’s lineup isn’t available yet, previous editions have featured artists such as Hamilton de Holanda and Ellen Oléria, as well as big bands. So, we can expect some major performances!
The concerts take place on Friday night and all day Saturday, so that the audience can spend Sunday enjoying the beauty of Santo Antônio do Pinhal.

Beyond the festival: things to do in Santo Antônio do Pinhal
Santo Antônio do Pinhal is 172 kilometers from São Paulo, making it ideal for short weekend trips. In addition to the jazz festival, the town offers natural attractions such as Pico Agudo, a natural lookout point where visitors can go paragliding.
If adrenaline isn’t really your thing, it’s worth visiting Jardim dos Pinhais Ecco Parque, Brazil’s first garden-themed park. The local cuisine is also a highlight at this time of year, offering the perfect comfort for cold nights!
