The Italian Festival of Our Lady of Casaluce, São Paulo’s oldest Italian-Brazilian celebration, is back for its 126th edition. Every weekend in May, the public can enjoy traditional, artisanal dishes and a program that pays tribute to immigrant culture.
The centennial event is one of the most anticipated on the São Paulo calendar, bringing generations together in the heart of Brás. If you love Mediterranean food, you can’t miss it!

History and tradition at the 2026 Casaluce Festival
The celebration began in 1900, the result of a partnership between the Parish of Our Lady of Casaluce and immigrants from the community. Since then, the event has taken over Brás annually with food stalls and religious celebrations in honor of the saint.
In addition to serving delicacies, the festival holds enormous symbolic value. There are only two churches dedicated to Our Lady of Casaluce in the world: one in Italy and another here in São Paulo. In other words, it’s an extremely rare celebration!
This Italian festival in São Paulo also serves a charitable purpose, donating proceeds to projects that assist those in need. So, in addition to sampling flavors from Italy, you’ll also be contributing to an important social cause.
