The Path of the Devotees is a unique expression of faith in the interior of São Paulo, combining monumental art and devotion. Situated along the Assis Chateaubriand Highway (SP-425), between Presidente Prudente and Regente Feijó, the complex features giant statues of saints and attracts devotees from around the world.
Currently, the site is home to 11 impressive sculptures reaching up to 10 meters in height, as well as a chapel open to the public. Located about 550 kilometers from the state capital, the destination has established itself as an important site for thanksgiving and pilgrimage in the state’s interior.

The story behind the Path of the Devotees
The complex was created on the initiative of businessman Agesner Monteiro, who decided to express his gratitude after experiencing a miraculous event in 2020. That year, his son Ravi, just five months old, suffered a severe head injury and had to undergo emergency surgery.
The prognosis was not favorable: doctors said that if he survived, Ravi would likely suffer severe aftereffects. However, the child recovered without any complications, which motivated his father to launch the project.
The businessman built the sanctuary at km 444 of the SP-425 highway, featuring images of Jesus Christ and popular saints such as Our Lady of Aparecida, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Padre Pio, and St. Expeditus. Additionally, in 2021, Caminho dos Devotos inaugurated its own chapel. The space is open 24 hours a day for prayers and petitions, and also occasionally hosts baptisms and weddings.

Religious tourism in the interior of São Paulo
Although there are no official figures on the number of visitors, it is estimated that thousands of people visit the complex annually. Its fame extends beyond borders, attracting groups from other states and even foreigners from countries such as Paraguay, Argentina, and Italy.
Upon arriving at the Caminho dos Devotos Sanctuary, visitors find a fully developed site. The statues are accessible via ramps and marked paths, with specific areas designated for prayer.
The site offers drinking fountains, restrooms, and free parking. In addition, admission is free and open at any time, allowing visitors to admire the “giant saints” of the São Paulo countryside in daylight or moonlight.
