Do you remember the Disney classic “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids”? In São Paulo’s West Zone, at Shopping Eldorado— one of the city’s best-known malls — you can experience something similar with your family. And the best part? It’s not science fiction, but rather a new immersive exhibition making its debut in Brazil—at least in this format.
Spanning an area of 1,300 square meters, “Gigantes do Jardim—Interactive Bioluminescent Experience” has everything it takes to amaze any São Paulo resident, whether child or adult. Through the use of cutting-edge technology, biology, and hyper-realistic settings, fun and learning go hand in hand from the first minute to the last.
Giants of the Garden

Creatures up to six meters tall
Right at the entrance, an animatronic queen bee welcomes visitors at the Garden’s Grand Portal. After passing through this tunnel of light and the sounds of nature, nothing will be the same, and the adventure will have only just begun. Suddenly, a leaf can serve as shelter, a bottle can become a tower, and an insect turns into a giant. The experience features several animatronic creatures up to six meters tall, including a mantis nearly four meters long.
The shift in scale and the motto “nothing is what it seems” are taken literally in this magical garden, where every detail is essential to making you feel as though you’re inside an ecosystem in the heart of nature. Video mapping, touch tables, 360° projections, sound effects, and lighting recreate a real garden full of giants, where the light changes every 12 minutes to simulate dawn, midday, and a bioluminescent night.
An entire garden for you to explore
The “Gigantes do Jardim” experience lasts approximately 45 minutes, but the tour operates on a self-guided basis. This means you can take your time enjoying each of the attractions in this larger-than-life world. Plus, get ready: you’re not just a spectator—you’re part of this ecosystem.
At the Butterfly Dome, for example, you enter a structure where 360° projections make thousands of monarch butterflies flutter around you. Want a little more action? At the “Web” attraction , the challenge is to crouch down and jump to cross several fluorescent bungee cords. If you’re with kids, one of the highlights is the Ant Hill, a circuit with suspended walkways, towers with slides, and a themed ball pit. And, of course, before you leave, make that mandatory stop at Wings of Dreams to take a photo and update your Instagram feed.
