A café in São Paulo is winning over those seeking experiences beyond the cup: FFV Café. In the heart of Santa Cecília, the space combines analog photography, vinyl music, and specialty beans all at the same counter. Thus, one of the most charming and sensory spaces in the downtown area was born.
A café in São Paulo where coffee, music, and photography come together
The scent of freshly ground beans mingles with the characteristic sound of a needle gliding over vinyl. Upon stepping through the door of FFV Café, at Rua Barão de Tatuí, 240, the fast pace of the sidewalks gives way to a slower, almost contemplative atmosphere. In other words, the perfect spot for those who want to slow down in the middle of the city.
The space began as the physical headquarters of the Festival de Filmes Vencidos, a project dedicated to the preservation and appreciation of audiovisual media in analog formats. This origin is directly reflected in the café’s concept, which focuses on sensory experiences and the appreciation of physical media.
At the counter, baristas work with specialty coffees, using extraction methods ranging from espresso to pour-over, always with a focus on precision and the sensory profile of the beans. Meanwhile, the soundtrack doesn’t come from digital playlists: it’s curated vinyl records played right there, often during live DJ sets.

Integrated photo lab
But the real standout feature is at the back of the space: an analog photography lab operating at the same address. There, photographers—amateurs or professionals—can develop 35mm film right on the spot, reinforcing the mission to revive more hands-on and tactile processes.
FFV Café is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. More than just a coffee shop, the venue has established itself as a meeting place for those who value culture, memory, and relaxing breaks in downtown São Paulo.
