If you want to reconnect with nature without being too far from the capital, here’s the perfect tip. That’s because, on February 21, you’ll have the opportunity to go on an environmental trail in Parque do Pedroso, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo.
This will be the first edition of the trail in 2025, which will allow visitors to get to know the natural beauty of the region. Registration is free and available on the local City Hall website. Check out all the details below!
Pedroso Park offers environmental trail in February
Pedroso Park is located in Santo André, about 30 kilometers from São Paulo. With an area of 842 hectares, it is approximately six times the size of Ibirapuera Park. It is a sanctuary for the preservation of the Atlantic Forest, with more than 30 springs, 15 lakes and a waterfall.
Until 1990, one of its main attractions was a cable car. It took visitors for a ride through the air, but after being scrapped, it was deactivated and its ruins became a new attraction.
Connection with nature and environmental awareness
The environmental trail will reach the second tower of the old cable car. It is 1.6 kilometers long, with a medium level of difficulty due to the terrain. All this in the company of a guide who will make the experience even more enriching amidst the exuberant local nature!
The experience will take place on February 21, a Friday, at 9am. Those over 15 can take part on their own, while those under 15 can only do so in the company of a guardian. As far as transportation is concerned, there will be free parking available.
The main aim of the activity is to give people direct contact with nature, as well as to raise environmental awareness about protected areas. So how about inviting the family along for an educational and cultural experience this February?
