Cine na Praça is back in São Paulo! As usual, the event continues to take place at on Thursdays at 7pm. However, the event has now moved to the CERET Park in Jardim Anália Franco. In other words, it’s time for viewers in the East Zone of the city to enjoy the biggest movie hits in open-air sessions.
The season runs until September 12 and includes screenings of major titles. For example: In the Wilderness, Little Miss Sunshine and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Cine na Praça offers free open-air movies!
The Instituto Socioambiental Cenários Futuros initiative was born in 2011 with the aim of bringing cinematographic works to the general public in a unique way. That’s why they innovated the collective experience of watching a movie with free open-air screenings.
More than 8,000 people have already taken part in Cine na Praça, while the event was taking place in Parque do Povo. With the change of address, expects an increase in attendance.
The selection is made collaboratively by the project team and seeks, above all, to present bold, independent films. Fabio Campos, cultural producer at Cenários Futuros comments:
We have developed content designed to instigate debate and reflection on the themes covered by the films. We invite everyone to enjoy moments of fun and culture for the whole family, celebrating cinema in its purest and most accessible form.”
The Cine na Praça project offers high-quality, themed programming for those who don’t have access to commercial cinemas, as well as for those looking for a new experience away from home.
The structure of the event is worthy of a movie theater: high-resolution projection, big screen, Dolby Surround 5.1 sound, chairs and good movies.
