Serra Negra, in the interior of São Paulo, attracts attention for its curious attractions such as the Trevi Fountain and Robot Disneyland. This New Year’s Eve, however, the destination is gaining even more prominence thanks to the Serra Negra Christmas 2025, whose free attractions are winning over São Paulo residents from all over the state.
The traditional “Luzes da Serra” festival will take place in November and December, illuminating the town’s historic center with themed decorations, parades and a cultural program. All this just 150 kilometers from São Paulo, making Serra Negra an indispensable alternative for a Christmas getaway.

The festival has been part of Serra Negra ‘s calendar since 2015 and reinvents itself with each edition. It is one of the most important events in the city, which has around 30,000 inhabitants and can receive up to 90,000 tourists on the main commemorative dates.
Visitors will have the chance to take a magical stroll through the city, which will be lit up with almost 2 million lights. Santa’s House will be the perfect stop for families, who will be able to take photos in playful and unforgettable settings! There will also be free music and dance performances in the city center.
The program will also include itinerant bands, ballet shows, pyrotechnics and themed parades involving the entire local community.

Santa’s arrival marks the start of “Lights in Serra”
The official opening of “Luzes da Serra“ will take place on November 14 at 6:30 p.m. in John Fitzgerald Kennedy Square. The public will be able to see an incredible visual spectacle, with the arrival of Santa Claus and the switching on of the lights in front of the Palácio das Águas. Regional shows and performances will make the evening even more special.
