Parque Campana is São Paulo’s newest open-air museum. Located in Brotas, the tourist attraction was designed by Fernando and Humberto, better known as the Campana Brothers, one of the few Brazilian artists with pieces in the collection of MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Although Fernando Campana passed away in 2022, his brother and work partner continues to bring the duo’s dream to life. The park has not yet been completed, but many of the pavilions can already be accessed through guided tours included in the ticket for the experience.
What can you find at Campana Park?
Designed to blend art and environmental awareness, the tourist attraction occupies the Campana family ‘s 52-hectare estate and is located in a transition area between the Atlantic Forest and the Cerrado. With this, we can already see the richness of the region’s biodiversity.
There are 12 pavilions in all, eight of which can already be visited and four of which are still being created. The materials used to build these living works of art are taken from the site itself. In addition, Campana Park is a unique opportunity to see art in the midst of nature.
