You can now visit the recently opened Carde Museum, a space in Campos do Jordão dedicated to the celebration of motoring. As well as beautiful and iconic cars, the museum also brings together art, design and an educational proposal to tell the story of Brazil in an immersive and interactive way.
What can you find at the Carde Museum?
In all, the institution has more than 500 historic vehicles, the idea being that 100 of them will be exhibited on a rotating basis. In other words, there will always be something new to see in this museum! In addition, the exhibition relates cars to the cultural, social and technological evolution of the country in an educational way. Among the automotive highlights are:
- Gurgel Itaipu, the first mass-produced electric car in Latin America;
- Brasinca Uirapuru (1964);
- McLaren Senna GTR XP;
- Ferrari F50.
The museum uses state-of-the-art technology, such as high-definition LED panels, a sound system and holograms, to enchant visitors. Car simulators, such as the Ferrari Testarossa, and works by Candido Portinari, Di Cavalcanti and Vik Muniz are also part of Campos do Jordão’s newest attraction.
