Cachoeira dos Pretos is the second largest waterfall in São Paulo and one of the state’s most important ecological treasures. Located in Joanópolis, just 110 kilometers from the capital, its waterfall is an impressive 154 meters high. It is undoubtedly one of those attractions that every São Paulo resident should visit at least once in their life!
The good news is that the waterfall is easily accessible to everyone: the entrance is free, the road is paved, the infrastructure is complete and there is no need to hike. As a result, the place appeals to those looking for a peaceful walk in the middle of nature, without radical adventures.

Entry to see the waterfall is free, but parking costs R$15. Payment can only be made by cash or card – there is no PIX option, so be prepared.

Casa do Lobisomem is located near the entrance to Cachoeira dos Pretos and is a must-see for photos and themed souvenirs. The place is a hit with children and adults alike, who have the chance to meet this beloved creature from folklore in person.
