Guarulhos Airport’s Aeromóvel is the big technological innovation in São Paulo transportation and will be inaugurated by the end of this year. So, if you already have an international trip booked for the January vacations, you’ll be able to get to any of GRU Airport’s terminals using public transport, and better still: free of charge!
The mobility system is a Brazilian creation, conceived and designed in Brazil. But we’re not the first to receive the technology; Porto Alegre’s Salgado Filho Airport already has an aeromobile that guarantees agile passenger transportation.
Everything we know about Guarulhos Airport’s Aeromóvel so far!
With an amazing technology that emits no gases into the atmosphere, the vehicle works like a sailboat. So, the air flow that passes through a tunnel below the tracks controls the speed and direction of the aeromobile. Like the Yellow Line-4, this train is fully automated and does not have a driver to operate it.
As well as being sustainable, it is also fast, covering the route to terminals 1, 2 and 3 in just six minutes. The route, which previously depended on buses and was subject to traffic, will now be carried out expressly.
To board for free, simply take the direct connection to CPTM Line 13-Jade or one of the airport‘s three terminals.

The system will have three vehicles, two of which are in operation. They will operate every seven days of the week, from 4am to midnight, just like the CPTM. It is expected to transport up to 2,000 people per hour.
In addition, the trains are equipped with wi-fi, surround sound, air conditioning and televisions showing flight boards, just like at the airport. The interior is spacious enough to hold luggage, but the few seats available in the vehicle can make passengers feel uncomfortable, so it’s worth remembering that the journey only takes six minutes.
